Actor Rajesh Dhruva, who has recently taken up learning to play the traditional percussion instrument of Kerala called chenda melam, shared that it took him 15 days to master it. Rajesh, who made his Kannada film debut with Shri Balaji Photo Studio, is now collaborating with director Sukesh Shetty for their upcoming film "Peter," which centers around the chenda melam. To ensure an authentic portrayal in the movie, Rajesh decided to learn the basics of playing the chenda. After 15 days of training, he gained the necessary skills to play the instrument and also underwent weight loss training to visually match a chenda artist. According to Rajesh, integrating folk music seamlessly into the storyline is key to creating a captivating experience for the audience in today's competitive film market. Despite his success in films, he plans to continue acting on television as it provides a stable income. Rajesh aims to firmly establish himself in the film industry before considering focusing on one medium exclusively.
